Till date the TDTA schools provide education to the poor rural children children of parents whose occupations include agriculture, weaving, beedi rolling, daily labour, fishing, palm tree climbing, cottage industries and brickmaking.
Recently the children of Narikuravars and the North Indian daily labourers have been admitted in the TDTAschools.
As the result, the status of women has been raised and standard of living ha improved. The southern districts from Tamilnadu are progressing, without any doubt, because of these schools. Childrens who have been trained in these schools have become government officials, professionals, business men, teachers and political leaders.
